Research interests:
Currently, most of my projects concern the dynamic behavior of the complex ABC-transporter OpuA from L. lactis on a single-molecule scale. This protein is involved in cell volume regulation, by ATP-dependent transport of glycine-betaine. To study single-molecule dynamics, I mainly use single-molecule FRET and related techniques.
